FHA Announces Transition
to New FHA Catalyst System
Appraisal Firewall Will Have You Ready To Go In No Time!
 
The upcoming FHA changes beginning Spring 2022 are beginning to generate a surge of questions. More information is coming out regarding FHA’s new cloud-based software, FHA Catalyst. In working with our direct integration to FHA EAD, we at Appraisal Firewall will be ready to go!

Mandatory transition dates to FHA Catalyst will be March 14, 2022. The cut-off date for report deliveries made prior to March 14, 2022, will be April 15, 2022.

What this means for your process:
  • There will be zero changes in how you deliver your FHA EAD appraisal reports.
  • Form types currently accepted by EAD will remain the same.
  • Results will be returned exactly how they are today.


Our Appraisal Firewall team is actively pursuing what changes need to be implemented on our end so no disruption occurs for your loan origination process. Be sure to register with FHA Catalyst if you have not done so already. Existing EAD user information will automatically be registered in FHA Catalyst, but you will still need to complete the registration process. Keep an eye out for an email from FHACatalyst@hud.gov with registration instructions. As more information becomes available, expect more updates from the Appraisal Firewall team in the coming months.
