You can use Appraisal Firewall to submit completed appraisal reports to either the UCDP or EAD portal. Depending on your account setup, you can choose to submit reports automatically, or launch Appraisal Firewall within your Encompass® loan file and submit reports to the portal on a case-by-case basis. Whether you are setup for automatic or manual submission, SSR results can be retrieved within Encompass® and appear in your eFolder.
Once your account is enabled for UCDP/EAD submission, follow these instructions to manually submit a report to UCDP/EAD.
1. Open the loan file that contains the appraisal you need to submit to either UCDP/EAD. Standard reports are eligible for submission to UCDP. FHA reports are eligible for submission to the EAD portal.
2. Go to the Services tab and click Appraisal. Select Appraisal Firewall and double click to launch the program.
3. Move to your My Appraisers tab, and double-click on Appraisal Firewall.
4. The Services View will open, and you will be prompted to enter your Appraisal Firewall email address and password. Then, click Sign In.
5. By default, the Communications log of the order is displayed. Along the right hand side are series of buttons that allow you to work within the order. Depending on the report you are submitting (standard/FHA) you can either select the Send to UCDP or Send to FHA EAD buttons. After clicking either button, confirm that you want the report submitted to the portal. Only orders that are complete can be submitted to a portal.
Please note: Once a report is submitted to either UCDP or the EAD portal, the order will switch to a reviewing status and SSR results may take several minutes to return.
6. You can obtain completed SSR outputs within Encompass® the same way you retrieve completed reports. Simply open your eFolder, select the Appraisal bucket, and click the Retrieve button.
