Lenders that use the Encompass® by ICE Mortgage Technology® Inc. can stay in their familiar loan origination system and place real estate appraisal orders directly into Appraisal Firewall. Once orders have been placed, they will receive status updates, they can send anonymous messages to appraisers, and receive their completed appraisals back into Encompass - all while complying with appraisal independence regulations.
Setup Requirements - Appraisal Firewall
In order to use the Encompass® to Appraisal Firewall integration, you need to have your company setup in Appraisal Firewall with an Administrator user, an appraiser panel, plus any Loan Officers, Processors, or other mortgage department staff.
All Encompass® users that you want placing orders to Appraisal Firewall should have an email address and a password setup in Appraisal Firewall.
Setup Requirements – Encompass® by ICE Mortgage Technology® Inc.
To setup the Appraisal Firewall interface in Encompass® by ICE Mortgage Technology® Inc., you will need to add Appraisal Firewall to your My Appraisers tab. Follow these instructions.
1. Open Encompass®, then either create a new loan file or open an existing loan file.
2. On the panel at bottom left, select the Services tab, then click Order Appraisal.
3. Move to the All Appraisers tab, then locate Appraisal Firewall.
4. Double-click on the Appraisal Firewall entry. This adds it to your My Appraisers tab.
