Placing VA orders through the Encompass® integration can be accomplished through the framed-in version of Appraisal Firewall. When you launch Appraisal Firewall from your appraisal vendor provider screen, login with your Appraisal Firewall credentials. Select the Residential button on the product overlay.



The New Order process will be the same as if you were creating the VA order within Appraisal Firewall directly. Please refer HERE for a walkthrough on the New Order VA process. Fields are mapped to the New Order form, which saves you time from re-keying numerous fields of data. Once you see a green checkmark in each section and agree to the Acceptance of Responsibility, you will be able to select the Order button at the bottom of the New Order screen.


 

Upon order placement, Appraisal Firewall will reach out to the VA portal. The LIN/Case Number will be returned with the 1805 document, along with the assigned appraiser information. You will see an order status of ‘Assigned,’ with a notification of Assigned to VA Appraiser. The appraiser information can be found within the Parties tab, under the Appraiser section.


Encompass® Retrieval Process

Once you receive your order completed email notifications from the VA portal, this will imply you can retrieve the report via the eFolder. From the Services section, click the Check Status icon adjacent to Order Appraisal. This will open the Appraisal Orders Status window. Select Retrieve.



The retrieval process will pass through the Appraisal Firewall connection and directly to the VA Portal. The deliveries will be downloaded to the eFolder, just like retrieving an order from Appraisal Firewall is currently handled. Any documents from the VA, i.e., 1805 form, appraisal report, etc. will be directed to the Appraisal bucket.


Retrieve Existing VA Orders through Encompass®

The Appraisal Firewall-Encompass® integration can link your existing VA appraisal orders, which will allow you to retrieve VA appraisal reports back into Encompass® without the need to navigate between multiple interfaces. Establishing the link between your current VA order can be completed by entering the VA Case Number you were assigned. Creating this connection can be accomplished through launching the framed-in version of Appraisal Firewall. Login with your Appraisal Firewall credentials. Select the Residential button on the product overlay.

Upon order placement, Appraisal Firewall will reach out to the VA Portal seeking to retrieve any messages and documents affiliated with the specific VA Case Number. If the order is complete within the VA portal at the time of placement, the appraisal report and any additional documents will be posted to the Communication Log. These documents are also accessible through the Documents tab.


For the documents to be retrieved to your eFolder successfully, go to the Services section, click the Check Status icon adjacent to Order Appraisal. This will open the Appraisal Order Status window. Select Retrieve.



The deliveries will be downloaded to the eFolder and placed into the Appraisal bucket, while the invoice will be directed to the Invoice bucket.
